The Semakadde family has built Banana Village around the philosophy that ‘every guest at the village is a chief whose desires and needs command respect and personal attention', reflecting the style of a typical 18th century African village.
Local dishes are prepared in a traditional kitchen and much of the produce is grown in the surrounding villages. The restaurant is set in beautiful gardens - a great place for children to play. The dining area also functions as a flexible space for workshops, conferences, and gatherings.
The retreat centre is set in a bird sanctuary, and also attracts the local monkeys. Horse-riding trips are also available. Plans are currently afoot to construct a swimming pool and health spa.
